Pflanzplätz performed off their latest release – querbeet. The group consists of three musicians with origins in the regions of Baselbiet and Emmental, where folk music is still part of everyday life. The traditional schwyzerörgeli (a type of diatonic button accordion) formation successfully combines the old and traditional with contemporary elements. Apart from Swiss folk music, they also include elements of jazz, pop and rock as well as influences from Ireland, France and Scandinavia.
Thomas Aeschbacher, schwyzerörgeli, guitar
Simon Dettwiler, schwyzerörgeli
Jürg Nietlispach, double bass, guitar, Jew’s harp (also known as trümpi in Switzerland)
